About
Education
After I finished high school in 2018 I started studying Data Science in Marburg.
While I was unsure at the beginning, if studying and the field would be the right choice
for me, I quickly learned to love Marburg, the new people I met and all the topics taught at the University. During my
Bachelors degree I was introduced to a variety of topics in Computer Science and Mathematics.
My Bachelors Thesis had the beautiful name 'Automatic Analysis and Visualization of Social Media
Word Frequencies' (Translated) and strengthened my interest in NLP and (Web) Visualization.
In 2021 I started my Masters degree. Still in Data Science and still in Marburg. I spent my third
Semester at Aalto University (Helsinki)
and enjoyed the different courses and teaching methods offered there. In contrast to my
Bachelors I gave myself a bit of extra time
to really grasp the knowledge offered to me and understand where my interests lie. This is still
an ongoing process though.
I wrote a 'Project-Work' (Translated) in 'Fake-News Detection in Reddit Data' which gave me a deeper
look into academic NLP. My Masters Thesis will be on efficiently discovering partial inclusion dependencies
in real word data and analyzing the potential use of the newly generated insights.
Working
Since the third semester of my bachelors degree (03.2019) I have been working continuously at
different places. I started at Philipps-Universität Marburg as a Teaching Assistant for
Technical
Computer Science (TCS) (Winter Term 2019), Algorithms and Data Structures (Summer Term 2020),
TCS (Winter Term 2021)..
While starting my last bachelors semester and thesis I applied for a job at Capgemini Custom Cloud Applications
in Frankfurt am Main. Starting
in March
2021 I worked there for almost two years with a five month break. My main tasks were focused on
an internal
project regarding automatic code analysis and visualization. The industry point of view definitely
helped my
personal development and I was able to get in touch with state of the art technologies.
During my break, I got the chance
of being the head teaching assistant (again TSC) where I created exercise sheets as well as exams
for students.
I liked the challenge of organizing and thinking of new problems.
In April 2023 I joined VisualVest as a working student in the Data Analytics team. As part of the small and developing team I support all team members with various tasks.
From infrastructural topics around dbt over internal dashboard analyses with plotly dash to machine learning models for LLM compliance regulation.
